Based upon the pioneering approach of Bernie Siegel, MD, Barry Bittman, MD and leading medical researchers throughout the world, this program will enable you to enter the rapidly expanding field of integrative approaches in the traditional medical environment.  Through fascinating presentations, enlightening discussions and extraordinary participatory exercises, you will enjoy the opportunity to blend your creative potential and insights with evidence-based approaches that will prepare you to positively impact the lives of those you serve.

 

With utmost respect for the needs of each person, this ECaP Workshop is an educational, informative and interactive training opportunity for the development of a comprehensive framework for inspiring and motivating individuals to take an active and meaningful role on their healthcare teams. Each participant will become familiar with and begin to integrate "whole person" approaches with the goal of creating, maintaining and restoring internal balance, enhancing quality of life, and promoting healing in mind, body and spirit through evidence-based therapeutic strategies. Learn to Facilitate Support Groups is designed to positively impact the lives of both participants and the people they serve.

 

Learn to Facilitate Support Groups is an interactive 2-day training program for health professionals, support staff, clergy and others who wish to learn group facilitation skills. No continuing education credits will be offered.

The opportunity to facilitate a support group of individuals facing their greatest challenges is a privilege.  It is also a life-changing experience that fosters extraordinary personal growth on many levels.  Participants will leave this seminar with renewed inspiration and practical tools, enabling them to more effectively help others.  The program provides the guidelines and each participant creates their unique formula for successfully working with their clients.

Core facilitators include: Barry Bittman, MD, CEO of the Mind-Body Wellness Center and ECaP; Kevin Henry, M.Ed, LSW; and guest presenters in multiple mind-body-spirit disciplines. Our program includes a combination of didactic, interactive and experiential approaches.
